Partner

David joined the firm as an associate in 2019 and became partner in 2021. After completing law school, David articled with a full service firm in south-east Saskatchewan, where he stayed on as an associate until relocating to Calgary in 2018. During this time, David was exposed to multiple areas of law, including corporate commercial, oil & gas, agricultural law, estate planning, and estate administration. Currently, he practices primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial law, including advising clients on reorganizations, restructurings, mergers, acquisitions, and general matters of corporate governance. David’s practice also includes commercial and residential real estate.

While primarily maintaining a solicitor’s practice, David has appeared at the Saskatchewan Court of King's Bench and the Saskatchewan Provincial Court. David also has experience with mediations, including case management conferences. Wherever possible, David prefers to work with his clients to develop alternative dispute resolution strategies to effectively resolve their matter.

David was born and raised in Calgary. Prior to going to law school, he worked in the oil & gas sector with a large EPC contractor and was actively involved in the Alberta golf industry. In his spare time, David can be found on the golf course, dining with friends and family, or exploring the world with his wife.
